The Cleo platinum, emerald and diamond ring
Barely enough time to close the chapter on the 100 years of Maison Lepage when an exceptional new piece makes its appearance to celebrate the expertise and passion for jewelry that drives us.Imposing and prestigious, the Cléo ring highlights an emerald of character, boasting a weight of over 2.46 carats. Its obvious volume takes on even more importance under the effect of the two triangle-cut diamonds that enhance this creation, shimmering under the beams of light. The traditional-looking setting thus incorporates a symbolic element dear to the House of Lepage: the triangle. Overlooking the two gems, the bright green emerald, tinged with blue, captures the gaze and delivers a feeling of calm. Majestic but especially rare, this gemstone stands out from the vast majority of emeralds that rarely exceed 2 carats. The Cleo ring definitely comes to charm all those who admire it!
For the little story
Fascinating mankind since the dawn of time, the emerald has always been the object of covetousness... This gem is not only the most famous of the beryl family, this protective stone was long considered capable of predicting the future, revealing the truth and unmasking lies. The appeal of this gem has not waned over time. Cleopatra had a special devotion to this precious gem, intrinsically steeped in history. The great queen of Egypt adored jewelry adorned with emeralds... It is said that the most famous female figure of antiquity was so obsessed with this stone that she would have claimed ownership of certain mines belonging to the Greeks. If the great queen of Egypt appreciated it so much, it is in particular for its properties related to the eternal youth which one would have allotted to him. The emerald thus seemed to be cut to match The Queen of Unchanging Youth.
Nested at the heart of this exceptional piece, the stone from Zambia then takes on a mysterious dimension and invites us to discover the shades of vivid greens and blues that so obsessed this illustrious woman who was the first to attribute to the emerald, its letters of nobility.
An emerald of exception
Natural emerald is a stone of definite beauty... But in its "raw" form, this gem joining the closed circle of "precious", reveals its many natural inclusions, also named "gardens". These inclusions are sometimes accompanied by fine cracks, which is why the vast majority of emeralds are treated to improve their appearance. It should be noted that the bright green emerald adorning this jewelry creation, meanwhile, has not undergone any treatment or heating. This exceptional stone displaying a weight of 2.46 carats is certified GRS. Cleo definitely has as much presence as the great queen to whom she pays tribute!
