Seiko Turtle

The Seiko Turtle is one of Seiko's legendary divers. The Turtle nickname comes from the cushiony, turtle-shell-like shape of the first 6309 produced from 1976 to 1982. In 2015, the Japanese brand revived the "Turtle" myth, with the release of the SRP777. This diver takes the general look of the Turtle and incorporates the current codes of watchmaking: a larger diameter increased to 45 mm, a new automatic movement, the 4R36. The dial is unchanged. Since then the brand has declined this icon in many variations!

Today, the model we offer is a special edition "Tropical Lagoon". It keeps the basics of the 2015 Turtle, with a 45mm steel case, 200 meters water resistance and a "Day-Date" complication at three o'clock. The originality of this model is its color code: The emerald green and navy blue of the minute hand and bezel reflect the inspiration of life in the tropical oceans.

Technical side

This Seiko Diver's embeds the self-winding manufacture caliber 4R36. This is one of the Japanese firm's must-have movements that is notably used in most Presage and Prospex watches. It beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of 42 hours. Designed to be reliable and robust, its construction is as simple as possible. In addition, it offers a most appreciable "Day / Date" complication!
