Big news at Grand Seiko! The Japanese Manufacture presents the Tentagraph, its first mechanical chronograph combining precision, high frequency and three-day power reserve!
First introduced in 2006, the Mount Iwate motif is now an emblem of Grand Seiko mechanical watchmaking. This majestic peak has become an enduring source of inspiration for Grand Seiko, and its choice for the brand's first mechanical chronograph is both symbolic and appropriate. Adorned in a blue hue, the dial draws the imagination to the night sky above Mount Iwate.
The first watch of its kind from Grand Seiko, the Tentagraph is powered by the new 9SC5 caliber, which uses the 9SA5 caliber as its base, it is emblematic of the next generation of Grand Seiko sports watches, both for its technological innovation and for its equally stunning Evolution 9 styling.
Like the Calibre 9SA5, the Tentagraph's new Calibre 9SC5 beats at a frequency of ten vibrations per second, ensuring high precision in the measurement of time. Thanks to its energy-efficient escapement and two barrels, the watch has a power reserve of three days (72 hours), even when the chronograph function is used. This makes the Tentagraph the longest power reserve 10-alpha chronograph available on the market in 2023.
Its design has been entirely revised to allow active use and easy reading while in motion. The Tentagraph's 43.2mm case and bracelet are made of high-intensity titanium, which is approximately 30% lighter and more scratch-resistant than stainless steel, and its bezel is made of scratch-resistant ceramic.
