Reinventing 21st century fine watchmaking involves a whole new conception of the relationship we have with watches. A watch obviously has a functional role to play in our lives. But beyond this function, the link is emotional. The new TYPE 1° Round continues Ressence's minimalist representation of time. It has rotating discs that display the time in a two-dimensional format, with a truly ergonomic design. Like all Ressence watches, the TYPE 1° Round aims to create a deep, emotional and tactile connection between the watch and its owner. Ressence wants its customers to fall in love with their watch. With this in mind, every detail of this new design has its purpose and helps to awaken the senses.

All round

In its quest for the purest expression of time, the design aims to reaffirm the beauty of simple, essential and sensual forms. The sapphire crystal harmoniously hugs the case in a simple minimalist radius of great purity. The pebble-shaped design, emblematic of the TYPE 3, invites itself into the elegant design of the TYPE 1 and adopts its ROCS 1 module. The result is a watch with an extremely satisfying tactile quality that will adapt to all wrists and styles to become an everyday companion. Details that matter

Beyond the improvements to the case, the TYPE 1° Round incorporates new details that make a difference.

At new design, new color. The new Night Blue is darker and more saturated, accentuating the depth of the TYPE 1° Round's dial. The hooping effect of the metalized discs emphasizes the movement, causing dramatic reflections as the hours tick by.

Aside from its new color, the TYPE 1° Round's dial unveils a simplified graphic concept with hour markers every 10 minutes and a day of the week dial that subtly brings together the two days of the weekend with a touch of color. The seconds and day of the week hands are larger for better readability.

Without a crown?

Without a crown, the Type 1 Round is intended to be comfortable on both the right and left wrists. But without a crown, how does it work? The secret is on the back of the case where a retractable lever allows us to find the functions of a classic crown: winding the mechanism, setting the time and adjusting the day of the week... With this system, the user is at one with his watch. All this is made possible by a unique system, the ROCS...

The Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS 1)

The patented ROCS 1 (Ressence Orbital Convex System) is a state-of-the-art watch complication module consisting of 107 parts, with the main and secondary disks visible directly on the dial. This offers a three-dimensional result, with a movement in perpetual evolution. This module is driven by the minute axis of a specially modified ETA 2892/A caliber. It offers 36 hours of power reserve, and keeps its usual frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The functions of the watch are classic: seconds (small hands), minutes (the large hand running along the dial) and hours (the sub-dial graduated from 1 to 12). The days of the week are added with an AM/PM indication, presented on the last small dial.
