An elegant square-shaped watch

This Tetra model is meant to be singular and simple. While its hands turn in a circle, they are inside a perfectly square and sober 33 x 33 mm case. This watch will appeal to men and women looking for elegance and independence. In addition, its midnight blue dial is the perfect backdrop for the green minute markers and the electric orange second hand. Finally, this watch is dressed up with a black padded strap, made of Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan.

A manufacture movement made in Glashütte

Since 1845, the town of Glashütte has been known as the birthplace of German watchmaking. Located in the Saxony region, this place brings together some of the most prestigious watchmaking Manufactures, such as Glashütte Original, the independent Mortiz Grossman or even the famous House of A. Lange & Söhne. A true guarantee of quality, Glashütte watches prove a real watchmaking know-how and a high degree of engineering. However, in order to bear the "Glashütte" appellation, it is necessary to generate at least 50% of the value of the caliber on the territory of the small town. The Nomos brand willingly complies with this requirement and does even better with 95% integrated production! A real feat for an independent House!

Let's focus now on the caliber equipping this Nomos TETRA. As you will have noticed, the dial is adorned with a fine "NEOMATIK" mention at noon written in relief. This is not just to make it look pretty, but a reference to the type of movement it contains. Neomatik, at Nomos, is synonymous with a prestigious, fine & mechanical movement. Indeed, the caliber inside, the DUW 3001 and its 43 hours of power reserve, is a superb example of the brand's know-how. DUW is an acronym of "Deutsche Uhrenwerke", it is the guarantee of a German movement with all that it supposes of rigor. It is precise and extra flat with its 3.2 mm thickness. Its construction is recognizable at first glance in its finish and construction, the Neomatik caliber rests on a three-quarter plate with a "Glashütte rib" finish. A sunburst effect is applied to the ratchet and crown wheel, and the blued screws contrast with the surface of the rhodium-plated bridges, bringing a superb shine to the whole. Very nice watch decorations that are more often found on much more expensive calibers. In addition it is extremely powerful and uses the NOMOS swing system, a proprietary escapement!
