With the return of the DEFY collection in 2017, the star-spangled brand never ceases to be in the endless pursuit of precision through innovation. Indeed, this collection represents Zenith's creative "laboratory," combining cutting-edge Manufacture movements with futuristic shapes and materials, continuing Zenith's heritage, always surpassing itself and setting new standards of performance and elegance. And this new 36mm DEFY Skyline is no exception!

New proportions

New size, new colors, same iconic silhouette and integration of a new caliber. The 36mm version of the DEFY Skyline watch has the angular shape of the original model and reveals reduced proportions and a mixed aesthetic perfectly suited for those who prefer a smaller model. It is housed in an octagonal steel case with a faceted bezel, inspired by the A3642 model released in 1969.

Its blue metallic dial features a sunburst finish and an engraved logo pattern of a four-pointed star, a modern re-imagining of the 1969 Zenith "Double Z" logo. The date window at three o'clock matches the color of the dial, for a harmonious integration of the complication.

As for the strap, this one is an example for sports watches with an integrated strap! Indeed, it has a nice drop and features a nice finish with a satin surface and polished chamfered edges. Resolutely versatile, the 36mm DEFY Skyline also features an ingenious quick-change strap mechanism, allowing you to easily replace this steel bracelet with the rubber strap with deployment clasp that comes with this model. This strap is embellished with a starry sky motif and also matches the color of the dial.

Elite Automatic Movement

Zenith made the choice to equip this 36mm DEFY Skyline with an Elite caliber, to replace the El-Primero of the 41mm version! The quintessence of the automatic movement, this caliber designed and manufactured in-house has been part of the ZENITH universe for over 25 years. This caliber with ultra-slim proportions and unmatched performance offers a 50-hour power reserve thanks to its automatic winding mechanism.
