Reissued since 1988, this LIP T18 Churchill watch has a vintage charm that is still relevant today. This version with a chrome case and a two-tone silver dial respects the Art Deco spirit of the early 30's and makes it a model often copied but rarely equaled.
A French History
The manufacture of the Type 18 caliber will begin in 1935 just before the 39-45 war. During this conflict, the company moved to the center of France, then south to Valence. At the end of the war, LIP returned to Besançon and rebuilt its factory. The "T18" then left the workshops. A highly modern caliber with a small seconds counter, an all-gold model was offered to Sir Winston Churchill in 1948.
