The origin

Omega launches the Co-Axial Chronoscope collection in 2007, a sleek and sporty new addition to the De Ville family. The name of this model is derived from the Greek khronos (time) and skopos (to observe). This is no coincidence and attests to the precision and perfect readability it offers its wearer.

The Design

This watch features a unique and classic design. Featuring a black dial with 30-minute and 12-hour counters and a small seconds counter. Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, this impressive dial features a date window at 11 o'clock. The bezel is mounted on a 41mm stainless steel case on a black leather strap.

The Movement

At the heart of this De Ville Co-Axial Chronoscope is the Omega caliber 3313 automatic movement equipped with the revolutionary Co-Axial Escapement, a brand-exclusive feature that dramatically reduces friction in the escapement and improves its long-term reliability and accuracy. The Co-Axial escapement represents one of the most significant advances in watchmaking in the past 250 years and was originally introduced in the Omega De Ville collection.

This caliber is equipped with a column wheel that allows the seconds hand to start smoothly when the chronograph is engaged. This system also provides precision in the stop and reset functions and does not interfere with the watch's time functions. As for the transparent back, it allows you to admire the finishing of the movement.
