The MIDO brand, created in 1918 by Georges Schaeren, an experienced Swiss watchmaker, and derived from the Spanish "Yo mido" meaning "I measure", quickly became a byword for technical innovation. The Multifort collection was born in 1934, becoming one of the first antimagnetic watches with an automatic movement. This was followed by the Ocean Star collection in 1959 with a revolutionary monocoque case, reducing any risk of water resistance of the case back. Today, the brand is present at numerous events and is associated, among others, with Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series and the UIA, the International Union of Architects.

The Multifort collection

Passion, challenge, daring, the perfect measure of time, this is what defines the Mido Multifort collection and the sport of Parkour. This discipline transforms the urban environment into obstacles to be overcome in a spectacular way, carried by two collaborators: the Australian Brodie Pawson and the French Thomas Mougne.

Performance on the wrist

This model, ref. M038.431.37.051.00, features a black dial with Côtes de Genève motifs, its place of manufacture in a case completely coated with black PVD. Precision lovers will appreciate the performance of its COSC-certified calibre 80 movement with a silicon balance spring.
