The brief history

Breitling is known to watch lovers for its legendary chronographs. The brand even practically invented the genre! It was the first Manufacture to unveil a wrist chronograph with an independent pusher, or even the first chronograph with two pushers. It has iconic models such as the Navitimer, the Chronomat and the Co-Pilot in its rich catalog! But when Breitling launched the Premier line in 1943, the collection quickly became a pillar of the brand. At the time, the line represented an evolution. Indeed, before 1943, the brand was known for its utilitarian precision instruments, namely military and aviation watches. The Premier line shifted the focus to aesthetics and design. This intersection of function and form has remained essential to the modern Premier line.

In 2018, to pay tribute to this vast history, Breitling CEO Georges Kern revived the Premier collection. The collection is primarily inspired by the original Premier models produced by Willy Breitling in the 1940s.

Getting to know each other

This dress chronograph is meant to be more formal and vintage than the rest of the Breitling collection. It pays homage to the chronographs unveiled by Willy Breitling as part of the Premier collection released in the 1940s.It features a 40mm round case with a sublime pistachio green dial in a bi-compax configuration with recessed subdials. It is surrounded by a tachymeter scale and topped with Super-LumiNova filled syringe hands.

This watch is powered by the hand-wound Manufacture Caliber B09, based on the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. It is a modern caliber that features a column wheel construction. It offers 70 hours of power reserve and is COSC-certified Chronometer.

The Package

This Breitling Premier was sold in 2021. It is in excellent condition and is dressed in a new ostrich leather strap equipped with its original folding clasp. This piece is delivered Full Set, with its case and all its papers. This Breitling Premier B09 has been authenticated and tested by our watchmakers and as such benefits from the Lepage Vintage one year warranty. It should be noted, that this watch is also still under Breitling warranty until 2026!
