The short story

Hisashi Kishi is the first bartender to receive the "Contemporary Master Craftsman" award and former winner of the International Bar Association World Championships! He is the owner of STAR BAR, one of the best bars in Tokyo, where the specificity is to create original cocktails, reminiscent of Tokyo's traditional but lively cityscape.

Presentation

This Presage "Illumine" features diamond cutouts that allow the rubies and balance wheel to be clearly seen. It is a modern interpretation of the skeletonized display. The wavy texture of its white dial is designed to represent the light glinting on the surface of the cocktail as it settles on the bar after being carefully mixed. Legibility is ensured by the applied hands and indexes. On the transparent case back are the words "Limited Edition" and the serial number.

The case is 40.5 mm in diameter and is topped by a domed Hardlex crystal giving the watch a vintage look. This case is dressed up with a black calf leather strap which itself is equipped with a steel deployant buckle.

The watch is also equipped with a black leather strap.

Technical side

This Cocktail Time "Illumine" is powered by the all automatic 4R72 caliber visible through the transparent case back. It is a variation of Seiko's 4R35 movement, which we already know from the Presage collection, notably on Cocktail and Presage Style 60's pieces.

In line with the mission of the Presage line, this movement offers excellent value for money! It features an Open-Heart complication and an attractive gold finish. Reliable and precise, it delivers around 40 hours of power reserve and operates with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations. This technical choice saves you from a regular service interval.
