An iconic collection

Born in 1999, the Highlife collection has marked the history of the Geneva-based company Frederique Constant. Since its launch, it has embodied the values that have contributed to the brand's success: a faithful design inspired by fine Swiss watchmaking, a high degree of finishing and a particular care to offer the right price for affordable luxury.

The jewel in the crown of this collection, the Highlife Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is adorned for the first time with a very deep blue-gray dial, the most fashionable color in contemporary watchmaking and a chromatic harmony between the seas, the sky and space.

A seventies design with a contemporary dial

The Highlife Perpetual Calendar Automatic is part of a long line of sporty-chic watches with a very seventies design, with its seductive and curvy lines! Its 41 mm steel case alternates between polished and satin-finished surfaces, and its design without lugs means that the strap falls smoothly and naturally on the wrist. A special feature of the Highlife collection is that the strap is interchangeable, and can be alternated with the second strap in navy blue textured and stitched rubber without the need for any tools.

The FC-775BL4NH6B features a sublime blue-gray dial, which characterizes that fleeting moment between dogs and wolves, when the day eclipses to make way for the celestial vault. The perpetual calendar is the expression of this, indicating both the days and the phases of the moon. It is complemented by the date, month and leap year indications, all on a single dial that favors simple and intuitive reading. This new deep blue-gray dial guarantees perfect legibility thanks to the contrast of the white typography and the mirror-polished and luminescent indexes and hands. In the center of the dial, we find the guilloche pattern of the Earth, the aesthetic signature of the Highlife collection. The whole is of course protected by a domed sapphire crystal.

Technical side

This watch is equipped with the Manufacture FC-775 calibre with automatic winding. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a comfortable power reserve of 38 hours but above all a complication worthy of the greatest watchmaking houses! Equipped with a perpetual calendar, this watch indicates the lunar cycles as well as the minutes, hours, date, day, month and year in four digits. Each of these elements is strategically placed to ensure that the dial is aesthetically pleasing and easy to read. The date is located at 3 o'clock, the day of the week at 9 o'clock, the month and leap year indicator at 12 o'clock and the moon phase at 6 o'clock. Each complication can be easily adjusted with the help of correctors. Once set, this highly sophisticated mechanism will take into account the 30 and 31 day months, the 28 day February, the leap year cycle and the display of February 29th every four years.

This watch will normally require only one manual correction in 400 years, on March 1, 2100, due to a particularity of the Gregorian calendar. In addition to being highly technical, this caliber is also embellished with delicate circular graining and a Côtes de Genève decoration, which can be admired on the back of this Highlife Perpetual Calendar Manufacture.
