An iconic collection

Born in 1999, the Highlife collection has marked the history of the Geneva-based company Frederique Constant. Since its launch, it has embodied the values that have contributed to the brand's success: a faithful design inspired by fine Swiss watchmaking, a high degree of finishing and a particular care to offer the right price for affordable luxury.

The Highlife Skeleton is part of a long line of sport-chic watches with a very seventies design, with its seductive and curved lines! Its 39 mm steel case is a new diameter for the French market. It alternates between polished and satin-finished surfaces and its design without lugs means that the strap falls smoothly and naturally on the wrist. A special feature of the Highlife collection is that it is interchangeable, and can be alternated with the second textured rubber strap without the need for any tools.

Skeletonization is a very complicated horological exercise. But Frédérique Constant has mastered this skill perfectly. Indeed, for more than 25 years, the Geneva-based brand has offered a Heart-Beat collection, the very first collection to feature an open heart.

Technical side

This Highlife Skeleton is equipped with the FC-310 calibre with automatic winding. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a comfortable power reserve of 38 hours, but above all a beautiful skeletonized finish. The balance wheel can be found at 12 o'clock, and between 5 and 6 o'clock the barrel is wound by the winding stem visible at 3 o'clock. This skeletonization allows to see the essential of the functioning of the caliber. Those who are more curious should be reassured: through its transparent caseback, the piece exposes its mechanical intimacy and its finishes, which are dear to the Geneva manufacture, such as the Côtes de Genève and circular graining, without limit.
