Overview

This Big Crown has a 40mm case with a fluted bezel and an oversized crown. Everything is in solid bronze on this new one. Only the case back is made of satin-finished stainless steel in order to avoid a too fast oxidation. Dressed like this, this model is very attractive. The bronze brings a touch of preciousness and warmth to the watch once on the wrist. As the watch is worn, this almost living material will evolve under the eyes of its owner, and will develop a unique patina. What could be more beautiful than an object with character? Beware of water, however, as bronze does not like it very much. The water resistance is only 50 metres.

The Oris 754 calibre

This Big Crown Bronze Pointer Date is powered by Oris Calibre 754, which the brand has developed from a Sellita SW201 base to implement the central hand date complication. The time is accurate and the automatic winding is driven by the characteristic red Oris rotor, visible through the sapphire case back. A power reserve of 38 hours is available when the watch is not worn on the wrist.
