Omega Constellation, the ultimate in sophistication

The Constellation collection is one of the most emblematic lines of the Omega Manufacture and has been since 1952. Embodying the ultimate in sophistication and precision, it pays tribute to the many precision records achieved by the company throughout the 20th century.
In 1982, the model was revisited with the characteristic elements that we all know and that we still find today: the claws on each side of the case, the half-moon facets and the Constellation star at six o'clock.

This 41 mm model, reference 131.23.41.21.06.002, has a stainless steel and 18K yellow gold case with a polished brown ceramic bezel and Ceragold-coated Roman numerals. Its rhodium grey dial is enhanced by a stamped silk-like finish. A date window is present at 6 o'clock. The hands, the OMEGA logo, the Constellation star and the facetted hour markers are also crafted in 18K yellow gold. It is presented with a brown leather strap with rubber lining.

A very high precision calibre

The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8900 calibre which is visible through the scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal case back. The self-winding movement has a Co-Axial escapement and is a METAS-approved Master Chronometer, offering accuracy from 0 to +5 seconds per day. To achieve such precision, a very advanced technique and construction is required, including a free sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, allowing it to withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. With its bi-directional automatic winding and its two barrels mounted in series, the 8900 calibre provides a comfortable power reserve of 60 hours.
The finishing of the movement is also very attractive, with a rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with an exclusive Côtes de Genève arabesque pattern.
