The "modern" history of Panerai began in 1993: in order to deal with the major international political and economic crisis that began in 1992, Officine Panerai decided to enter the civilian watchmaking market with the launch of three collections, from a total of ten references, in limited and numbered editions. This is the first time that Panerai is accessible to everyone, not just the military. The Luminor Marina collection is presented in 40 and 44mm. They immediately became highly sought-after collector's items for watch enthusiasts.

A coin that comes out of the collection

This Panerai PAM02392 in 42 mm is going out of collection very soon, to be replaced by the new Luminor Marina Quaranta range and its 40 mm diameter. However, this model is very interesting, and this in more than one way! Indeed, we find the Luminor case in reasonable dimensions, in order to propose a technical content of quality under slightly revised proportions to reduce the thickness and the weight of the case. So, no more excuse to say that a Panerai is impossible to wear!
On the motor side, the mechanical hand-wound P.9010 calibre offers 72 hours of power reserve, two barrels and a large-diameter balance. Moreover, this movement has a complication that allows the hour hand to be set independently of the minute hand, which is very practical for changing time zones!Its matt black dial with "sandwich" construction is one of the most appreciated by the brand's enthusiasts for its pure design and fidelity to tradition, just as the small seconds display at nine o'clock is one of the characteristic design elements of many Officine Panerai watches. 

The package

This coin was put into circulation in October 2021. It is virtually brand new. This piece is delivered Full Set and therefore has the original case which includes two tools and a second Panerai rubber strap. The warranty card and the instructions for use are also included. This Panerai Luminor Marina has been authenticated and tested by our watchmakers and still benefits from the Panerai warranty.
