The Zenith brand is considered the very first vertically integrated watch manufacturer in Switzerland. The Manufacture was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in his home town of Le Locle in the Neuchâtel mountains of Switzerland. Georges Favre-Jacot's objective was to reach the pinnacle of precision and innovation by combining under one roof all the know-how, skills and watchmaking knowledge required to produce a watch, thereby creating one of the very first industrial watchmaking factories in the modern sense of the term. A visionary! The company quickly acquired a solid reputation in time measurement, winning all chronometry competitions. The best example of this excellence remains the 2,333 chronometry prizes won since 1903. An absolute record in watchmaking. It was only in 1911 that the factory of Georges Favre-Jacot et Cie became the Manufacture Zenith, after the name of one of its movements registered in 1897. Moreover, the name itself refers to the highest point of a star in the sky, a symbol of excellence for the company. The history of the brand is rich, and is one of the most appreciated by collectors! From the beginning of the conquest of the sky, to its chronometry records, Zenith has always had incredible projects in the fields of aviation, exploration and pure exploit. Its watches have also accompanied many extraordinary personalities, from Louis Blériot, the first aviator to have crossed the English Channel in a plane, to Felix Baumgartner, the world record holder for the highest jump! The brand has managed to diversify, from the pocket to the wrist. More than 150 years later, the history of Zenith is not just an industrial saga. It is also a human adventure, where watchmakers never stop searching for absolute precision. It is precisely this spirit of collaboration and innovation, always at the heart of the brand's inspiration, that enables the watches of tomorrow to be created. Watches with exceptional precision for lovers of fine watchmaking.
A varied collection
Innovation is the guiding principle of Zenith's collections. The Manufacture offers exceptional movements developed and manufactured in-house in all its watches. From the first automatic chronograph, the El Primero, to the fastest chronograph with a precision of 1/100th of a second, the El Primero 21, via the Inventor, which reinvents the regulating organ by replacing the more than 30 components with a single monolithic element, the Manufacture is always pushing back the limits of what is possible.
Defy : A watchmaking classic
With the Defy collection, Zenith proves once again that the Manufacture is a master at creating the future of watchmaking. These men's watches represent the quintessence of the brand's endless pursuit of precision through innovation. These timepieces combine state-of-the-art manufacture movements with avant-garde shapes and materials. The Defy collection continues Zenith's heritage of surpassing itself and setting new standards of performance and elegance.
Chronomaster : Master of chronographs
The Chronomaster collection illustrates the Manufacture's mastery in the development of high-frequency automatic chronograph movements. These watches retain the elements and heritage of over 50 years of production. From the faithful reproduction of its most emblematic references from the 1960s and 1970s to the guarantee of unprecedented levels of precision thanks to the 1/10th of a second display of the new version of the famous El Primero calibre. In short, the Chronomaster collection combines the past and present of the most popular and iconic automatic chronograph of all time.
Pilot : The aviators' watch
Founded more than a century ago at the dawn of early aviation, Zenith has a watchmaking heritage that is unrivalled in the world of aviation. The brand created the very first Pilot watch, a term it patented in 1904, thus becoming the only watch company authorised to engrave the inscription "PILOT" on its dials. A tribute to the extraordinary pioneering spirit of the time, the Pilot collection is aimed at adventurers past and present.
Elite : Elegance according to Zenith
Manufacture Zenith revisits its own past from the perspective of the present through the Elite collection. This line presents unisex automatic watches, uncluttered and minimalist but with a strong graphic identity. Confident in its timeless lines and proportions, the Elite collection does not repeat the past, but rather rejuvenates the codes of mid-20th century watchmaking. These models set the tone for Zenith's watchmaking vision of contemporary elegance.
