The short story

More commonly known as the "watch with a hole", the Aquis Depth Gauge uses a simple scientific process. It uses the principle of Boyle-Mariotte's law to create a gauge that clearly measures depth during a dive. This patented system allows water to pass through a hole cut in the sapphire crystal at 12 o'clock and slip into a channel around the edge of the flange. A watermark is then created corresponding to a gauge indicated in yellow on the dial.

For the more curious among you, Boyle-Mariotte's law links the pressure and volume of a perfect gas. Thus, at a constant temperature, the more the volume of gas present in the yellow will decrease, the more the pressure will increase thanks to the proportionality of the pressure and the volume of a perfect gas (knowing that water is one in its gaseous form).
