The basics

The Indicator and its revolutionary chronograph function, the Eterna caliber 3030 and its domed movement surface, not to mention the oscillating weight on ball bearings... It is this last innovation that interests us today since it was unveiled at the presentation of the Eterna-Matic in 1948. The Eterna-Matic, recognizable thanks to its water drop handles, was the first watch equipped with a rotor movement mounted on ball bearings.

This "Centenary 61" edition of the Eterna-Matic is characterized by its case in 18 k yellow gold and its crown hidden in the case at 3 o'clock. Its 35 mm diameter will suit all wrists and can be worn by a woman. Its manufacture automatic winding caliber 1438U regulates very well. This beautiful vintage watch is in an incredible state of preservation, only its cream dial betrays its advanced age. It is slightly pitted but this is not due to corrosion. Indeed, we do not find any trace of oxidation on the movement side, it is just the stigmata of time that give it a vintage patina look.
